The Student Discount Program aims to empower students to become enthusiastic ambassadors for the GoLab and RustLab conferences, actively spreading the word about these events through various digital and physical channels.
As part of this initiative, students can earn progressively increasing discounts based on their level of genuine engagement in promoting the conferences.
The program offers different discount levels that students can achieve by undertaking specific promotional activities. Additionally, students who reach the highest discount level will be rewarded with an exclusive “Ambassador” T-shirt as a special recognition of their outstanding efforts. Here are the discount levels:
- Level 1: 20% discount (obtained by actively sharing the event on at least one active digital platform or displaying the conference poster on a university bulletin board);
- Level 2: 40% discount (obtained by actively sharing the event on at least two active digital platforms or prominently displaying the conference poster on university bulletin boards);
- Level 3: 60% discount (obtained by actively sharing the event on at least three active digital platforms or strategically displaying the conference poster on university bulletin boards);
- Level 4: 80% discount (obtained by actively sharing the event on ALL the following active digital platforms and strategically displaying the conference poster on university bulletin boards);
- Level 5: 100% discount and “Ambassador” T-shirt (obtained by actively sharing the event on ALL the following active digital platforms, strategically displaying the conference poster on university bulletin boards, and bringing at least one participant who purchases a ticket).
Promotion Channels
Students have a variety of active channels at their disposal to effectively promote the conferences:
- Faculty Facebook groups;
- Other social media channels (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.);
- Personal or group blogs;
- Online forums and communities;
- Authorized physical bulletin boards for poster placement.
N.B. The social media channels utilized by students must be actively used, have a substantial number of followers, and not be left inactive or abandoned.
Engagement Monitoring
To qualify for the discount, students need to provide evidence of their genuine promotional activities on each active digital platform. They can submit screenshots of their shares, post links, or any other relevant materials showcasing their active presence.
Coupon Request and Allocation
Students interested in participating as ambassadors and receiving the discount should fill out an online form provided by the conference organizers. In the form, students will need to provide the following details:
- Full name;
- Email address;
- Faculty name and course of study;
- Promotion channels used and related evidence (screenshots, links, etc.);
- Names and surnames of any participants brought by the student.
Request Deadline
Students must submit their requests for the Ambassador Discount by September 30th, which will be the final deadline for participation.
Communication and “Ambassador” T-shirt
Selected students chosen as ambassadors will receive a personalized email containing the discount coupon and detailed instructions for its use. Furthermore, those who achieve the highest discount level will be presented with the prestigious “Ambassador” T-shirt during the conference, symbolizing their exceptional dedication and contribution to the event.
